Sharp AQUOS wish6 Announced With 120Hz Display and Dimensity 6300

Sharp has officially announced the AQUOS wish6, its latest ae featuring a brighter 120Hz display, improved durability and new security features.

The smartphone will go on sale in Japan and Taiwan from mid-September 2026. Sharp has not yet revealed its pricing or wider international availability. It will be offered in SORA, KINU and SUMI color options. Sharp AQUOS wish6 Specifications

The AQUOS wish6 features a 6.6-inch HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 720 × 1,612 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,000 nits of maximum brightness.

It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Users can also expand storage using a microSD card of up to 2TB.

Sharp has equipped the phone with a 5,000mAh battery and its Intelligent Charge technology, which is designed to reduce battery deterioration during charging. Camera and Software

The phone includes a 50.1-megapixel rear camera with an F1.8 aperture and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

It runs Android 16 out of the box. Sharp promises up to two major Android version upgrades and four years of security updates.

Durable and Security-Focused Design

The AQUOS wish6 carries IPX5, IPX8 and IPX9 water-resistance ratings, along with IP6X dust resistance and MIL-STD-810H durability certification. Sharp says its reinforced frame offers approximately 20% better bending resistance than the AQUOS wish5.

New safety features include a security alarm activated by shaking the phone, emergency contact calling, location sharing through SMS and AI-powered suspicious-call detection. It can also restrict international calls to help protect users against phone scams. device also supports fingerprint and face authentication, NFC, nanoSIM and eSIM, a 3.5mm headphone jack and Bluetooth 5.3.

Sharp is expected to announce carrier availability and pricing closer to the phone’s release in September.
