Honor WIN 2 Launches with 185Hz Screen and Huge Battery

Honor has officially unveiled the Honor WIN 2 smartphone lineup during its WIN Gaming Universe Carnival, introducing high refresh rate performance and active internal cooling to mobile gamers. The brand also showcased a special Delta Force professional esports edition featuring an exclusive Mandel Brick paint pattern and native 185Hz video recording capability.

The standard lineup consists of three models tailored to different performance brackets: the flagship Honor WIN 2, the midrange Honor WIN RT2, and the entry level Honor WIN Turbo2. According to IT Home, pricing for the base configuration of the flagship model starts at 4999 yuan after national subsidies.

High Refresh Rate Displays Across the Lineup

Every variant in the new family shares a 6.89 inch straight LTPS OLED display operating at 2K resolution. The screen pushes refresh rates up to 185Hz, paired with 5920Hz ultra high frequency PWM dimming for reduced eye strain during extended gaming sessions. Visual processing relies on proprietary silicon, specifically a WIN Display processor and a dedicated WIN Touch chip that allow simultaneous 2K resolution and 185Hz output. The front panel also maximizes viewing area with slim 0.93mm borders on all four sides.

Processing Power and Active Dual Fan Cooling

Hardware configurations differ depending on the tier chosen. The flagship Honor WIN 2 runs on a sixth generation Snapdragon 8 Ultra processor manufactured on a 2nm process, sporting a prime core capable of 5.0GHz clock speeds. Honor matches this processor with fast LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 flash storage. The companion Honor WIN RT2 adopts a fifth generation Snapdragon 8 Ultra chip, while the Honor WIN Turbo2 features a Snapdragon 8s Gen4 platform.

To manage thermal buildup under heavy computational load, the flagship incorporates the Dongfeng Twin Star Turbo Cooling System. This internal configuration pairs a built in Uranus vertical cross flow fan with a Neptune side mounted high speed exhaust fan. Operating together, their combined speed surpasses 50,000 RPM, producing 2.8 times the airflow of earlier industry benchmarks. Official testing figures reveal a heat dissipation boost of up to 150 percent, lowering overall operating temperatures by up to 14.4 degrees Celsius, with an express mode that drops device temperatures by 10 degrees within 50 seconds. The RT2 model utilizes a single fan, while the Turbo2 relies on fanless passive dissipation.

Massive Battery Capacities and Gaming Features

Endurance is another primary focus of the new series. The top tier Honor WIN 2 carries a 10100mAh Qinghai Lake battery supported by 100W wired fast charging and 80W wireless charging. The RT2 and Turbo2 models feature even larger 12070mAh battery cells paired with 90W wired charging. All three devices provide 27W wired reverse power delivery along with dedicated charge separation to bypass the battery during direct wall powered play sessions.

Additional equipment on the flagship model includes a 200 megapixel optically stabilized main camera, 1216 symmetrical stereo speakers, and a tactile WIN button dedicated to custom in game controls. Connectivity relies on a self developed HONOR C3 RF signal chip running MagicOS 11. Durability ratings cover IP68, IP69, and IP69K liquid and dust protection, alongside a 3D ultrasonic biometric sensor positioned beneath the glass.

The Honor WIN 2 series shows how dedicated gaming hardware is evolving beyond simple component upgrades. By combining active mechanical fan exhausts, five digit milliamp hour capacities, and 185Hz display panels into one chassis, Honor gives enthusiast players genuine esports grade performance that easily outlasts standard flagship devices during marathon play sessions.
