Nothing Phone 4a Pro Leak Confirms Bigger Battery & Better Water Resistance
New details about Nothing's upcoming mid-range smartphone have surfaced online through official certifications. The Nothing Phone 4a Pro has appeared on the European Union's EPREL energy rating database, revealing key specifications for its battery and durability.
According to the listing, the Phone 4a Pro will be equipped with a 5,080mAh battery, which is a small but noticeable increase over the 5,000mAh battery in last year's Phone 3a Pro. The listing also confirms the phone will support 50W wired fast charging, matching the charging speed of its predecessor.
One of the more significant upgrades revealed is an improved IP65 rating for water and dust resistance. This is a step up from the previous model's IP64 rating, offering slightly better protection against water jets and sprays. While it still won't survive submersion, it provides stronger protection against accidental splashes and rain.
The certification also provides some durability insights. The battery is rated to withstand 1,400 charge cycles before its capacity drops below 80%, and the phone earned a 'C' grade in repairability and drop reliability tests.
In a separate development, the Phone 4a Pro has also been spotted on India's BIS certification website, confirming its imminent launch in the country. Previous rumors suggest the device will be powered by a Snapdragon 7-series processor, paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
While Nothing has not announced an official launch date, the appearance of these certifications is a strong indicator that the Phone 4a and 4a Pro are nearing their release. The company is expected to continue its strategy of offering unique design and competitive features in the mid-range segment.
