Google Pixel 11 Leak Reveals 12GB RAM, 10.8MP Telephoto and No HiLight

A fresh Google Pixel 11 leak has corrected two earlier rumors about Google's upcoming base flagship.

According to tipster evowizz, the standard Pixel 11 will reportedly come with 12GB of RAM and a 10.8MP telephoto camera. However, Google's new HiLight rear lighting feature is said to be reserved for the Pro models.

Google is scheduled to officially unveil the Pixel 11 series on August 12, 2026, with pre-orders also beginning that day.

Pixel 11 Gets a Telephoto Camera After All

Earlier leaks suggested that the standard Pixel 11 could drop the telephoto camera entirely.

The latest information instead points to a 10.8MP telephoto sensor, matching the resolution used by the previous base Pixel generation. Its exact optical zoom level has not yet been confirmed.

This would give the regular Pixel 11 a more versatile camera setup without requiring buyers to move to a Pro model.

12GB RAM Across the Base Pixel 11

Another earlier rumor claimed Google could reduce the entry-level Pixel 11 to just 8GB RAM.

The new leak says that won't happen.

The base Pixel 11 is now expected to ship with 12GB RAM only, which should provide more headroom for Android 17, Gemini features and multitasking.

Rumored Pixel 11 Specs

No HiLight RGB on the Standard Pixel 11

Google's rumored HiLight, previously referred to as Pixel Glow, is a lighting system built around the rear camera area.

It is expected to provide colored visual notifications when the phone is placed face down.

However, the latest leak indicates that the standard Pixel 11 will not include HiLight, making it a feature reserved for higher-end Pixel 11 Pro models.

According to DeviceDecode, this is an interesting trade-off: Google may be keeping the visually distinctive HiLight feature for Pro buyers while giving the regular Pixel 11 a more practically useful telephoto camera and 12GB of RAM.

Tensor G6 Benchmark Appears on Pixel 11 Pro XL

Separate leaks have also provided an early look at the Tensor G6 inside the Pixel 11 Pro XL.

A reported Geekbench 7 result shows:

2. Multi-core: 5,196
3. RAM: 16GB
4. OS: Android 17

The listing identifies Tensor G6 as an unusual seven-core processor, with two cores at up to 2.65GHz, four at 3.38GHz and one prime core reaching 4.11GHz.

Notebookcheck's Geekbench 7 reference data for the Tensor G5-powered Pixel 10 averaged roughly 1,973 single-core and 5,872 multi-core.

That would put the leaked Tensor G6 result around 7% higher in single-core performance but roughly 12% lower in multi-core performance.

These are still pre-release benchmark results, so they should not be treated as final Pixel 11 Pro XL performance.

According to DeviceDecode, the Pixel 11 series appears to be focusing less on massive benchmark gains and more on cameras, AI features and practical improvements.

Google's official announcement is now only a day away, so the remaining specifications should be confirmed very soon.
