Apple’s 20th Anniversary iPhone Could Feature a 7-Inch Quad-Curved Display

Apple may be preparing one of the biggest iPhone design changes in years for the device’s 20th anniversary in 2027.

According to recent leaks, the anniversary iPhone could feature a nearly bezel-free display that curves slightly around all four sides of the phone. This design may help Apple create a more seamless, glass-like appearance.

Larger Displays Being Tested

Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station claims that Apple is testing larger displays for its future Pro models:

1. iPhone Pro: Approximately 6.4 inches
2. iPhone Pro Max: Approximately 6.96 inches, likely marketed as 7 inches

The screen aspect ratio is expected to remain similar to current models. This means Apple may increase the overall phone size instead of achieving the larger display only by reducing the bezels.

The possible 7-inch Pro Max would become the largest regular iPhone display released by Apple.

Quad-Curved, Nearly Bezel-Free Design

Previous reports claim Apple is working on a display with small curves along the top, bottom and both sides.

Unlike older Android phones with deeply curved “waterfall” screens, Apple may use very shallow micro-curves. The goal would be to make the display appear to flow smoothly into the phone’s frame without large black borders.

The Information also reported that Apple is developing a 2027 iPhone with curved front and rear glass that extends around the device’s edges.

Could Apple Remove the Dynamic Island?

The anniversary model may also have a smaller Dynamic Island or no visible screen cutout.

Apple is reportedly testing under-display camera and Face ID technology. However, it remains unclear whether both systems will be ready for the final 2027 model.

Apple has not confirmed the design, display sizes or official name. The device is commonly called the iPhone 20 because it could launch during the iPhone’s 20th anniversary, but the final branding may be different.
