New HMD Pulse Pro Model Leaks with Helio G99 Chip

The European edition of the HMD Pulse Pro is getting an internal hardware refresh focused on daily speed. According to IT Home, details shared by tipster smashx_60 reveal that the company plans to release an updated version of the handset powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 processor.

This revision directly addresses the computing limits of the original model. By swapping out the entry level Unisoc T606 platform for MediaTek silicon, the brand aims to deliver smoother multitasking, faster application loading, and more dependable performance for everyday users.

Upgraded Hardware Under the Hood of the New HMD Model

The headline change centers on the chipset swap. The original variant relied on the modest Unisoc T606, which handled basic tasks but struggled under heavier workloads. In contrast, the MediaTek Helio G99 brings stronger processing cores and better power efficiency.

Alongside the new chip, the phone packs 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. This generous memory and storage pairing is uncommon in budget smartphones, giving users ample room for local files, media, and background apps without slowdowns. A 5000mAh battery powers the setup, backed by 20W wired charging support to keep downtime reasonable.

Familiar Display and Camera Hardware

While the processor receives a boost, the rest of the spec sheet stays steady. The front houses a 6.56 inch IPS LCD screen with an HD+ resolution and a fluid 120Hz refresh rate. The high refresh rate helps scrolling through menus and browsing social media feel fluid, even with the modest screen resolution.

Photography Specs

Photography features also carry over without alterations. Selfies and video calls are handled by a 50MP front sensor. Around back, the phone carries a dual camera module led by a 50MP primary sensor and an auxiliary 2MP sensor to assist with depth sensing and portrait shots.

What This Update Means for Smartphone Buyers

Budget phones often compromise on either memory or processing speed. Sticking with the existing screen and camera hardware allowed the brand to concentrate its resources entirely on internal silicon. For European consumers, this revised package turns a basic daily driver into a far more responsive device that should handle app updates and daily wear much better over time.
