Virtual Boy Games Coming to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack

Nintendo is bringing even more retro magic to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service. Starting February 17, 2026, the long-rumored Virtual Boy™ – Nintendo Classics library will officially launch for both Nintendo Switch™ and Nintendo Switch™ 2 users.

This marks the first time Virtual Boy titles will be available outside of the original 1995 hardware—bringing new life to cult classics like Teleroboxer, Galactic Pinball, and more.

Play in 3D With New Virtual Boy Accessories

Nintendo is also launching two new accessories designed to simulate the original 3D experience:

• Virtual Boy for Nintendo Switch/Switch 2 – a modern replica of the classic console.

• Virtual Boy (Cardboard Model) – a cost-effective option, similar to Nintendo Labo.

Both accessories will enhance select games with 3D visuals and will be sold exclusively via the My Nintendo Store (pre-orders coming soon).

 Note: The Virtual Boy library will only be available in the United States and Canada at launch.

With a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership, you’ll get:

• Access to Virtual Boy, GBA, Nintendo 64, and SEGA Genesis game libraries

• Select DLC for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Splatoon 2

• Switch 2 exclusives: GameCube™ games and upgrade packs for Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom
