PlayStation Plus Ends the Year with a Bang: Assassin’s Creed Mirage and More Hit the Catalog
Sony is closing out the year with a huge win for PlayStation Plus subscribers. If you're on the Premium or Extra tiers, get ready for a major infusion of great games hitting the service on December 16th.
Leading the charge is Assassin’s Creed Mirage. This entry marks a return to the series’ roots, offering a tighter, more focused adventure set in a dense and vibrant Baghdad. Playing as the street thief Basim, it’s a stealth-packed story you can finish in about 20 hours—a refreshing change of pace after the massive RPGs of recent years.
Also joining the lineup is the challenging action RPG Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty from Team Ninja. It’s a brutal and rewarding Souls-like set in a dark fantasy version of ancient China, perfect for players who love a tough but fair fight.
For something completely different, check out the indie standout Skate Story. You play as a glass-skinned demon skating through the underworld, performing tricks in a beautifully surreal and moody journey. It’s not your average skating game.
The full list of new arrivals is impressive and diverse:
- Granblue Fantasy: Relink (action RPG)
- Planet Coaster 2 (theme park simulator)
- Cat Quest 3 (action-adventure)
- Lego Horizon Adventures (family-friendly action)
- Paw Patrol: Grand Prix & Paw Patrol World (kid-friendly games)
For Premium members, the classic fighting game Soulcalibur 3 is also being added to the retro catalog. This final update of 2024 makes PlayStation Plus a fantastic destination for gaming over the holidays.
