iOS 26.4 Beta 3 Released: New Features & Changes | Device Decode
Apple has just released the third beta versions of iOS 26.4 and iPadOS 26.4. This update comes exactly one week after the second beta and is now available for registered developers to test on iPhone and iPad.
How to Install the Update
If you are a registered developer, you can download the new software by following these steps:
- Open the Settings app.
- Go to General.
- Tap on Software Update.
- Select the Beta update to begin downloading.
What’s New in iOS 26.4?
While we are still waiting for major Siri updates, this version brings several exciting features to the Apple ecosystem:
- AI Music Playlists: A new "Playlist Playground" in Apple Music lets you create custom playlists simply by typing in a mood or an idea.
- Concerts Near You: Easily find local live music shows directly within the Music app.
- Video Podcasts: Apple Podcasts now supports native video, making it easier for creators to share video shows and for listeners to watch them.
- Better Messaging (RCS): Apple is testing end-to-end encryption for RCS. This means texting between Android and iPhone users will soon be much more secure.
- New Emojis: While not fully live yet, code suggests we will soon see new icons like an Orca, Bigfoot, a Trombone, and a Treasure Chest.
- Security & Health: "Stolen Device Protection" is now turned on by default to keep your data safe. There are also new "Average Bedtime" charts in the Sleep app and a new widget for ambient music.
Stay tuned to Device Decode as we continue to track these features ahead of the public release.
