Apple Foldable iPhone, iPhone 18 Pro and Major Android Flagships Tipped for September 2026
September 2026 could become one of the busiest months of the year for smartphone launches, with Apple and several major Android brands reportedly preparing new flagship devices.
According to Digital Chat Station on Weibo, cited by IT Home, around 2–3 manufacturers are expected to announce new phones in early September. The lineup is tipped to include Apple's iPhone 18 Pro series and its highly anticipated wide-format foldable iPhone, often rumored as the iPhone Ultra.
The leaker also claims another 5–6 manufacturers could introduce “heavyweight new flagships” during the middle and latter part of September, potentially resulting in as many as nine major smartphone launch events during the month.
Other reports add more context to the crowded schedule. Xiaomi 18, Vivo X500 and Oppo Find X10 have all previously been tipped for September launches, while recent reporting suggests Xiaomi is closely watching Apple's expected early-September foldable launch window.
Apple's foldable has not been officially announced, so the launch timing remains a rumor. However, separate reports also point toward a September unveiling, although actual retail availability could come later.
According to DeviceDecode, if these schedules hold, September 2026 could turn into a major flagship battle between Apple, Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo and other smartphone manufacturers, giving buyers significantly more premium-device choices within just a few weeks.
