Xiaomi REDMI K100 Debuts With 10,000mAh Battery and 165Hz Display
Xiaomi has officially launched the Xiaomi REDMI K100 in China, bringing flagship processing power and an enormous 10,000mAh battery to the performance segment. The phone introduces top tier hardware at a limited promotional starting price of 2999 yuan, according to IT Home.
Pre orders have opened immediately following the announcement. Regular retail availability begins on October 31 at 10:00 AM local time.
Pricing and Storage Configurations for the Xiaomi REDMI K100
Xiaomi REDMI K100 buyers can select from three memory options during the initial release period. The entry tier pairs 12GB of RAM with 256GB of storage. This base model carries a suggested retail price of 3499 yuan, discounted to a promotional Double 11 price of 2999 yuan, which drops further to 2549.15 yuan with local national subsidies.
Stepping up to the 12GB and 512GB configuration brings an official list price of 4099 yuan. The promotional sale lowers that figure to 3499 yuan, while subsidy programs reduce it to 2999 yuan.
The top configuration provides 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It carries a standard sticker price of 4499 yuan, an introductory sale tag of 3899 yuan, and an effective subsidized price of 3399 yuan.
Flagship Dual Processor Architecture and Gaming Graphics
Under the hood, the device relies on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Ultra flagship chip. Built on an advanced 3nm process, the processor uses the custom Oryon CPU architecture featuring two super cores and six performance cores. System memory uses fast LPDDR5X Ultra RAM alongside speedy UFS 4.1 flash storage.
Graphics management receives dedicated hardware backing. The standard model includes a proprietary D2 gaming display chip. This co processor handles frame generation and visual upscaling, allowing simultaneous super resolution and super frame processing across more than 100 popular titles. Over 40 gaming titles support native 165 frames per second gameplay right out of the box while keeping power demand in check.
High Refresh Display and Ergonomic Build
Visuals are routed through a 6.83 inch flat panel sporting a crisp 1.5K resolution. The panel supports a fluid 165Hz refresh rate and reaches an impressive 3500 nits of peak brightness. Visual comfort is handled by Xiaomi Green Mountain Eye Protection 4.0, full brightness DC dimming, and circularly polarized light filtering to minimize visual strain during extended use.
The physical design focuses on functional ergonomics. Around the perimeter runs a 1.3mm metal frame with gently curved corners that sit comfortably in the hand. The back panel features a flat metal camera housing designed specifically to avoid getting in the way when holding the phone horizontally during long gaming sessions. Buyers can pick from three finish options: black, snow white, and firefly green.
Durability and daily handling also receive attention. The phone incorporates comprehensive ingress defense covering IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K standards against water and dust intrusion. Quick biometric unlocking is handled by an under display 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. Dual symmetrical stereo speakers tuned with Bose audio round out the multimedia setup.
Massive Battery Endurance and HyperOS 4
Battery capacity is easily the headline hardware specification. Xiaomi has packed a 10,000mAh Jinshajiang battery into the device. Official Day of Use lab tests report up to 2.43 days of typical endurance on a single charge.
Refueling happens through 100W wired fast charging with support for 100W PPS standard protocols. The system also supports 27W wired reverse charging to top up accessories, as well as bypass charging that routes current directly to internal components during heavy gaming to limit thermal buildup.
For mobile photography, the rear setup is anchored by a 50MP high dynamic range primary camera module.
Software duties fall to Xiaomi HyperOS 4, also known domestically as Surge OS 4. The updated operating environment features a rewritten desktop framework that speeds up app startup times while avoiding dropped interface frames. Core system services have been trimmed to lower standby power consumption, memory is dynamically distributed as applications require it, and the integrated Super Xiao Ai 2.0 digital assistant handles on device automation.
Real Value for Smartphone Shoppers
The arrival of the phone changes expectations for battery life in performance focused handsets. Most high performance mobile devices make substantial compromises in battery capacity to keep overall body dimensions thin. By pairing a high efficiency 3nm flagship silicon layout with an unprecedented 10,000mAh capacity and a dedicated gaming graphics processor, the device offers heavy mobile gamers and road warriors reliable multi day endurance without forcing them to settle for midrange performance.
