At the Beijing National Convention Center on September 25, 2025, Xiaomi founder Lei Jun took the stage for his annual speech, "Change," to unveil the highly anticipated Xiaomi 17 series and a suite of new products, reinforcing the company's commitment to its "Human × Car × Home" smart ecosystem.

The new flagship lineup includes three models: the standard Xiaomi 17, the Xiaomi 17 Pro, and the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. The base model, the Xiaomi 17, is designed as a compact 6.3-inch powerhouse. It launches with the new Snapdragon® 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform and packs a massive 7000mAh Surge Battery, defying expectations for a phone of its size. Its camera system, developed in partnership with Leica, features the Summilux lenses.

The more advanced Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max models introduce groundbreaking features, most notably a revolutionary Dynamic Back Display on the rear panel. This secondary screen opens up new avenues for interaction, from showing customizable watch faces and AI-generated wallpapers to providing notifications and even acting as a viewfinder for high-quality selfies using the main cameras. Both Pro models also incorporate next-generation LOFIC High Dynamic technology for superior image capture and a 5x optical periscope zoom on the Pro Max variant.

A significant focus across the series was on battery technology. Through innovations in its Surge Battery with high silicon content, Xiaomi managed to fit a 6300mAh cell into the 17 Pro and a colossal 7500mAh into the 17 Pro Max, all while maintaining sleek profiles. All models support 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.

Pricing and Availability:
The Xiaomi 17 starts at RMB 4,499, the Xiaomi 17 Pro at RMB 4,999, and the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max at RMB 5,999. The series will be available for purchase starting September 27, 2025, at 10:00 AM through Mi.com, Xiaomi Stores, and other official channels.
