Vivo V70 Spotted in FCC Filing, Hinting at Launch With Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 Chip

Vivo V70 Spotted in FCC Filing, Hinting at Launch With Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 Chip

Vivo appears to be gearing up to launch a new smartphone, as a model believed to be the Vivo V70 has recently surfaced in a regulatory filing. The phone, identified by the model number V2538, was spotted on the official website of the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC), which is often a final step before a device goes on sale.

The FCC listing provides some key details about the upcoming phone. It suggests the Vivo V70 will come in at least one configuration with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The document also confirms the device will support modern connectivity options including 5G, Bluetooth, NFC, and Wi-Fi 6. The phone is expected to run on the latest Android 16 operating system, likely with Vivo's own OriginOS 6 interface on top.

This sighting follows earlier leaks that pointed to the same model number. The Vivo V70 (V2538) was previously seen on the Indian BIS certification website and on the Geekbench benchmarking platform. The Geekbench listing indicated the phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, paired with 8GB of RAM, and it posted scores of 1,235 in single-core and 3,920 in multi-core tests.

While Vivo has not announced any official launch date, these successive certifications strongly suggest the Vivo V70's debut is imminent. The device is anticipated to be the successor to the Vivo V60, which launched in India in August 2025 starting at Rs. 36,999. If it follows the V60's pattern, we can expect upgrades in areas like the camera system, display, and battery. The V60 itself featured a 6.77-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, a 6,500mAh battery with 90W fast charging, and a triple rear camera setup co-engineered with Zeiss.

The appearance on the FCC, a key certification for the US market, indicates that the Vivo V70 could have a wider international release, though official market details will need to be confirmed by the company.
