Vivo has officially begun teasing its upcoming V70 smartphone series for the Indian market. The lineup will include two models: the Vivo V70 and the more premium Vivo V70 Elite, marking the first time an "Elite" variant has been introduced in the V-series. A dedicated landing page on Vivo India's website has revealed key details ahead of an expected launch in mid-February 2026.

The company confirms the series will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, starting from an 8GB + 256GB configuration. This represents a performance upgrade over the previous V60 model. The phones will run on Android 16-based OriginOS 6 and are promised to receive four years of Android OS updates and six years of security patches.

A major design shift is also on the way. Teasers show the new phones will feature a flat-edged frame and a flat display, moving away from the curved design of the V60. The back panel will house a square-shaped camera module developed in partnership with Zeiss optics.

The camera system is expected to be a triple setup, featuring a 50MP main sensor with OIS, an ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Both models are also tipped to pack a large 6,500mAh battery with support for 90W fast wired charging and will likely carry an IP68/IP69 rating for water and dust resistance.

While the Elite model is confirmed to use the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, reports suggest the standard V70 might use the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset instead. Pricing for the V-series in India typically ranges from approximately $350 to $600. Official pricing and the exact launch date are expected to be announced soon.
