The Apple Graveyard 2025: 25 Products Officially Discontinued This Year
As 2025 comes to a close, it's time to look back at the Apple products that were officially retired from sale this year. While many were simply replaced by newer models with upgraded processors, a couple of notable product lines reached their end.
The biggest shift came to Apple's iPhone lineup. The company fully discontinued the entire iPhone SE family with the launch of the iPhone 16e. This move marks the end of an era, as Apple no longer sells any iPhone with a Home button, Touch ID, an LCD screen, or the Lightning port. The SE line, which began in 2016 with a design based on the iPhone 5s, saw its final model released in 2022.
Additionally, the iPhone Plus line is being phased out. Both the iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone 15 Plus were discontinued this year, effectively replaced in Apple's strategy by the new ultra-thin iPhone Air. The iPhone 16 Plus is expected to follow soon, with no further Plus models on the horizon.
For other product categories, 2025 was largely a year of spec bumps. iPad models were updated with newer chips (like the M5 in the Pro and M3 in the Air) but kept the same designs. Apple Watch updates were minor for the Series 11, while the Mac lineup and accessories saw their usual generational replacements.

Apple Watches: Apple Watch Ultra 2, Apple Watch Series 10, Apple Watch SE 2.
Macs: Mac Studio (M2 Max/Ultra), 14-inch MacBook Pro (M4), 13-inch & 15-inch MacBook Air (M3), 13-inch MacBook Air (M2).
Other: AirPods Pro 2, Apple Vision Pro (M2), 30W USB-C Power Adapter, Lightning to 3.5mm Audio Cable, MagSafe to MagSafe 2 Converter, and the older MagSafe Charger (replaced by a Qi 2.2 model).
In most cases, these products were succeeded by a direct replacement. This annual cycle shows Apple continually refreshing its portfolio, saying goodbye to older tech to make way for the new.
