Samsung One UI 8.5 Leak: Redesigned Phone App, Settings & iOS-Style UI Tweaks
The upcoming One UI 8.5 update brings a fresh look and some new features across Galaxy phones. The Settings menu gets a cleaner layout, with menu items arranged more tightly, a search bar moved to the bottom of the screen, and a floating back button adding a modern touch. The Phone app has also been redesigned: tabs for Dialer, Call Log and Contacts sit in a pill-shaped dock at the bottom of the screen, and the new “Direct Voicemail” feature offers live transcription of incoming voice messages.
Visuals throughout the system adopt subtler shadows, gradients and rounded elements, making the interface feel lighter and more refined. Additional enhancements include more customization options in the Quick Settings panel and extra usability features like automated call screening and refined Device Care visuals. If all these leaks turn into final features, Galaxy users can expect a noticeably smoother and more polished experience when the update rolls out.
