Honor 700 Series Features a Rear Screen and 9000mAh Battery

The upcoming Honor 700 series, codenamed Flora internally, includes three distinct models to hit different budget brackets. Engineering sample leaks indicate a 6.57 inch 1.5K display with symmetric, ultra thin bezels across the front.

Dual Screen Design and Massive Battery Life

The Honor 700 Pro stands out with a 1.72 inch integrated rear display, allowing users to view quick alerts or frame rear camera selfies. On the imaging side, Honor equips the device with a 200 megapixel primary sensor alongside a 50 megapixel periscope telephoto unit on the Pro version.

Power delivery receives an enormous jump compared to earlier generations. The Honor 700 family will offer battery capacities reaching around 9000mAh. This enormous cell capacity means users can expect multiple days of run time between charges, addressing one of the biggest daily pain points for active smartphone users.

Huawei nova 17 Series Considers a Wider Display Format

Huawei is also preparing to introduce its nova 17 series as part of the November mid range wave. While detailed technical specifications remain light, reports state Huawei is evaluating a wide screen candybar form factor for the new nova lineup.

Huawei tested this concept recently with the Pura X View, which introduced an unusual 16:9.5 aspect ratio display and a Kirin 9030S processor at 5999 yuan. Bringing an aspect ratio inspired by that model to the mid range nova line could give buyers a distinctive browsing and reading experience without needing to spend top tier prices.

A Massive Upgrade Wave for Mid Range Buyers

Smartphone shoppers planning an upgrade before the end of the year have substantial hardware improvements to look forward to. Instead of small incremental updates, these November releases bring high resolution 200 megapixel sensors, secondary rear panels, periscope glass, and multi day battery cells directly into mainstream devices.
