Apple Unveils iPhone Pocket With Stylish Knit Design
Apple has introduced iPhone Pocket, a special-edition, 3D-knitted pouch created in collaboration with Japanese fashion house ISSEY MIYAKE. Designed as a wearable way to carry any iPhone, the accessory blends fashion and functionality, offering a flexible knit pocket that can also hold items like AirPods or keys. It launched on November 14 across Apple’s online store and select global locations, including New York, London, Tokyo, and Paris.
Inspired by ISSEY MIYAKE’s textile-focused design philosophy, the pouch is made in a single seamless knit. Apple says the goal was to create a “simple, joyful” way to wear an iPhone while giving users a new style option beyond traditional cases.
Available in two versions, the short-strap model costs $149.95 and comes in eight colors, while the long-strap version, priced at $229.95, is offered in three shades. Both versions sold out quickly, with demand resembling limited-edition fashion drops.
Analysts say the accessory reflects Apple’s growing interest in lifestyle and fashion collaborations as a way to differentiate its ecosystem. The rapid sell-outs suggest strong appetite for tech-fashion hybrids, though some critics question the high price for a knitted pouch.
Looking ahead, it’s unclear whether iPhone Pocket will return or remain a one-off release. But its early reception hints that Apple may continue experimenting with design-driven accessories.
