vivo V50e Launch Date Confirmed: Design Inspired by vivo S20, Key Specs Revealed
The long-rumored vivo V50e is finally set to make its official debut in mid-April, according to a recent report. While the device has been the subject of speculation since November, details about its design and specifications have now started to surface, giving us a clearer picture of what to expect.
One of the most notable aspects of the V50e is its design, which is said to be heavily inspired by the vivo S20, a model released in December. The V50e will reportedly feature the same marble finish, dual-camera circular island on the back, and a ring light below the camera sensors. While this means the V50e won’t boast an entirely original design, it does promise a sleek and modern aesthetic that has already been well-received in the S20.

Under the hood, the V50e is expected to pack some impressive specs. It will reportedly sport a 6.77-inch quad-curved AMOLED display with a "1.5K" resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring a premium viewing experience. The device will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 SoC, paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage, making it a solid contender in the mid-range segment.
Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the 50MP main camera, which uses Sony’s IMX882 sensor, alongside an 8MP ultrawide lens. For selfies, the V50e will feature a 50MP front-facing camera, ensuring high-quality images and video calls.
Additional features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, and a robust 5,600mAh battery with support for 90W wired charging. The device will run on Android 15 out of the box, layered with vivo’s FuntouchOS 15 for a customized user experience.
While the V50e shares design elements with the S20, it’s not a mere rebrand. The internal upgrades and enhanced features make it a distinct offering in vivo’s lineup.
