Samsung Galaxy A37 Spotted on Geekbench With Exynos 1480
Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy A37 has surfaced on Geekbench, giving the first look at what users can expect from the next-generation mid-range smartphone. The listing confirms that Samsung is shifting to its in-house Exynos 1480 chipset for this model, paired with 6GB of RAM and Android 16 out of the box.
The phone recorded 1,158 points in the single-core test and 3,401 in the multi-core test, placing it well above the performance of its predecessor, the Galaxy A36. The switch to the newer Exynos platform appears to deliver a noticeable speed upgrade, especially for multitasking and daily usage.
Compared with last year’s Snapdragon-powered model, the A37 shows stronger CPU output, which should translate into smoother app launches, better background task handling, and improved gaming performance for lighter titles. Early reports also suggest efficiency gains, hinting at better battery life—something the A-series is already known for.
While the Galaxy A37 is not positioned as a flagship competitor, the benchmark results signal that Samsung is giving its mid-range lineup a meaningful boost. Users can expect reliable everyday performance, polished software, and enough power to handle entertainment, social media, and moderate multitasking without stutter.
With its listing now public, a launch announcement is likely not far off, and Samsung may soon reveal the rest of the phone’s specifications, including display upgrades and camera enhancements.
