LCD screens use a backlight to illuminate pixels, so they cannot achieve the same deep blacks as AMOLED or OLED. While LCDs are generally reliable and less likely to suffer burn-in, they have lower contrast and colors may appear less vibrant. They also consume more power when displaying dark content since the backlight remains on.

AMOLED adds extra performance with its pixel control layer, while OLED provides flexibility and slim designs.
